Info
Formed in Virginia Beach in 2009, Turnover has carved out a distinctive place in American indie by changing its skin without losing the thread. Initially rooted in a pop-punk and emo register, the group led by Austin Getz (with Casey Getz and bassist Danny Dempsey at the heart of the project) laid the foundations with Magnolia, still taut, with the guitar at the fore and nerve-wracking melodies. Then came the shift: Peripheral Vision opened a softer, more hushed sound, between indie rock, dream pop and soft grunge, with breathing tempos and airier textures.
Since then, Turnover has cultivated introspective and melodic songwriting, broadening its palette on Good Nature, Altogether and Myself in the Way, now a quartet with guitarist Nick Rayfield. On March 19, 2027, at the Electric Ballroom in London, the band will come to present this journey in chiaroscuro, between catchy choruses and cloudlike atmospheres, with that eye for detail that is their onstage signature.
