On October 3, 2026, We Are Scientists will descend upon Electric Studios in Sheffield for a set conceived as a return to their roots. The band, led by Keith Murray and Chris Cain, will perform With Love & Squalor in its entirety, the album that established their edgy indie rock in the mid-2000s, between dry guitars, bass pushed to the fore, and hooks that go straight to the point. Expect to rediscover the post-punk tension and the power-pop efficiency that are their hallmark, in order and without detours. And as this is not merely a nostalgia exercise, the evening will also leave room for the "hits" that followed: short, energetic tracks with that melodic-hook sensibility the band refined across their records, without losing their direct and biting edge. A date for longtime fans as well as for those who caught up with them later.
