Royal Blood

Royal Blood return to the stage on 27 August 2026 at the O2 Guildhall in Southampton, with their tight, nervy rock tailored for venues. Formed in Worthing around Mike Kerr, the duo has been joined on a permanent basis by Ben Thatcher on drums in 2013, carving out a place by playing a simple, upfront formula: a bass taking the place of a guitar, dry riffs, and tracks built without any fat.

First gaining prominence in the United Kingdom with 'Out of the Black', Royal Blood quickly racked up major dates on the rock scene, before establishing their style on Royal Blood (2014) and How Did We Get So Dark? (2017), where efficiency takes precedence over showmanship. With Typhoons (2021), they broadened the sound toward more danceable rhythms and airier textures, while maintaining the duo's tension. Back to the Water Below (2023) tightens the writing again, making it more direct, more raw, and designed for live performance: two musicians, a lot of impact, and zero detours.
