Dylan John Thomas arrives at Manchester's Albert Hall on 26 November 2026 with songs tailor-made for live performance, somewhere between acoustic indie folk and English pop, direct and straightforward. Born in Glasgow in 1997, he honed his guitar-driven style as a self-taught musician, long busking in the streets, with a fingerpicking technique, catchy choruses, and a husky voice with very British phrasing. His lyrics engage with daily life, without unnecessary staging, with writing that goes straight to the point.
Discovered early by Gerry Cinnamon, with whom he tours, Dylan John Thomas quickly broadened his audience, notably by also opening for Liam Gallagher. After "Nobody Else", then "Jenna" and "Feel the Fire", his collaboration with producer Rich Turvey further refines his sound—bolder in scope but still upfront. Between the EPs of 2021 and 2022 and the Dylan John Thomas album released in 2024, he has grown accustomed to major British stages (TRNSMT, The Great Escape, Reading). In Manchester, one can expect a tight set, driven by the guitar and the energy of the choruses.
