Dizzee Rascal returns to the stage on November 5, 2026 at the Manchester Academy, with this distinctly London blend of tense grime, UK garage-influenced accents, and choruses designed to crank up the energy. Born and raised in Bow, in east London, he made his mark in the early 2000s in the wake of pirate radio, first as a drum and bass DJ, then as an MC and producer, and as a founding member of Roll Deep.
From the single 'I Luv U' to the album Boy in da Corner (Mercury Prize 2003), his tense flow and sparse production helped define an era. The follow-up broadened the terrain, between the raw energy of Showtime and Maths + English, then more pop and dance turns from Tongue n' Cheek, never severing his link with the grime scene. After Raskit, E3 AF and Don’t Take It Personal, this concert promises to be a retrospective of a career that has moved between clubs, heavy bass, and hard-hitting rap.
