On December 20, 2026, City of the Sun brings its instrumental heat to MOTH Club in London. Born out of New York’s streets, the trio built its sound the old-school way: two acoustic guitars and percussion, played close, loud, and alive. John Pita, Avi Snow, and Zach Para move between tight, flamenco-leaning runs, indie-rock pulse, folk warmth, and Latin-tinged rhythms, with plenty of room for improvisation and sudden shifts in intensity.
Their pieces don’t need vocals to tell a story: they work like moving soundscapes, built on repeating motifs, collective tension, and release, switching from restless momentum to more reflective, cinematic passages. After shaping their repertoire in parks and subway platforms, they carried that raw, live energy into clubs, tours, and recordings, including the 2016 album To the Sun and All the Cities in Between. Special guests will open the night.
