On October 8, 2026, at Dickens (Calgary), Nekrogoblikon arrives with its goblin universe fully embraced, somewhere between melodic death metal, metalcore pushes, power metal nods, and detours more pop/electro. Led by Nicky Calonne on vocals and keyboards, the band leans into the contrast between tight riffs, catchy choruses, and absurd humor, in the vein of Heavy Meta, Welcome to Bonkers, or The Fundamental Slimes and Humours. Rivers of Nihil completes the bill with a more technical and progressive death metal, crafted for dynamic changes and the atmospheres that set in. Their writing, nourished by melodic textures and an atmospheric approach, moves from surgical precision to more open passages, as heard on Where Owls Know My Name or The Work.
