If you’re into indie rock that doesn’t mind brushing up against pop punk and pop rock, The Wrecks are coming through Toronto with their “Finally: Outside Tour” on October 30, 2026 at The Opera House.
Formed in California and now based in Los Angeles, the band—Nick Anderson, Nick Schmidt, Aaron Kelley and Billy Nally—first got noticed with “Favorite Liar” and the DIY EP We Are The Wrecks, before widening the scope on Panic Vertigo. Their sound sits on punchy, nervous guitars and big, melodic hooks, with newer releases making more room for synth textures and airier shades that can lean toward electropop or dream pop without dropping the rock backbone.
After years of touring the US indie circuit, they’ve kept moving forward from Infinitely Ordinary to Sonder, and into their more recent chapter with INSIDE:, teased as the first half of their third album. Expect a set built for shouting the choruses back, with plenty of momentum and a few turns in mood along the way.
