Stockholm’s thrown bring their tight, hard-edged take on modern metalcore to O2 Academy Glasgow on 12 December 2026. Born in the early 2020s out of the local hardcore scene, the band writes in sharp, compact bursts: down-tuned riffs, heavily syncopated grooves and a raw, shouted vocal attack. Their lyrics sit close to the bone, circling anxiety, anger and fraught relationships, with arrangements that keep tension high and melody on a short leash.

Signed to German label Arising Empire, thrown first surfaced with a run of digital singles before setting the tone with the 2022 EP “Extended Pain”. That release laid out their method: direct structures, a dense low end and hooks built from rhythm rather than polish. Since then, the group has stayed busy on the European circuit, moving through clubs and mid-sized rooms across Scandinavia and the continent, often alongside bands from the same metalcore wave.

On stage, the intent remains clear. The rhythm section hits hard, guitars lock into precise patterns, and songs snap from riff to break with little downtime. Expect a set trimmed of excess and engineered for collective release, where impact comes from weight, timing and the push-pull of a band playing tight and close.
