Geordie Greep

Geordie Greep plays Stockholm on August 20, 2026 at Debaser Strand, bringing the restless imagination that first surfaced in east London and grew through Black Midi. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he helped shape that group’s tense, shifting art rock before turning to his own path when the band paused in 2024. His debut solo album, The New Sound (Rough Trade, 2024), opens a palette where experimental rock rubs shoulders with jazz inflections, classical shades, Latin pulses and character-led storytelling.

On stage, Greep leans into narrative vocals, abrupt metric pivots and guitar lines that favor contrast over force, slipping from brittle motifs to knotty grooves and back to open space. The writing stays cinematic without excess, stacking scenes, voices and quick left turns that keep the music in motion. In Stockholm he brings this approach with a band tuned for sharp dynamics and pockets of improvisation, giving each piece room to twist, tighten and breathe.
