On April 6, 2027, Wheeler Walker Jr. brings Pullin’ Out: The Farewell Tour to Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg. Behind the stetson sits Ben Hoffman, comedian and writer from Lexington who turned a one-off TV sketch into a full-blown country persona. From Redneck Shit in 2016 through Ol’ Wheeler, WW III, Sex, Drugs & Country Music and Ram, he’s built a catalog that plays it straight musically while pushing hard on satire.

The band leans into traditional and outlaw country with a dose of country rock, all cut to a clean Nashville grain. The twist is in the writing: bawdy, blunt and knowingly provocative, delivered with a deadpan drawl that keeps the jokes sharp and the grooves tight. That tension between classic honky-tonk codes and parody has taken the project across American stages, including a night at the Ryman in 2022 and bills shared with Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson and Nikki Lane.
