Renan Luce

On May 4, 2027, at the Saint-Exupéry Cultural Center in Franconville, Renan Luce returns with a new album and a show conceived specifically for the stage. Twenty years after Repenti, his portraits of everyday life and his tightly crafted melodies have established his signature in French chanson. Initially propelled by La Lettre, Les Voisines and Repenti, he has since carved out his own path with Le Clan des miros, the more organic D’une tonne à un tout petit poids, and a self-titled album recorded with an orchestra, more intimate and introspective.

On stage, Renan Luce favors the clarity of the songs and the straightforwardness of the narrative, voice and guitar at the forefront, supported by a compact band. In Franconville he will be joined by Oliver Smith on bass, Christophe Cravero on keyboards, François Lassere on guitar and Mathias Fisch on drums. Between recent tracks and anticipated numbers, one finds the same precise songwriting, understated arrangements and a band dynamic that lets the text breathe. A chance to appreciate the development of a singer-songwriter who advances in small, deliberate strokes, avoiding unnecessary effects while keeping a keen sense of melody and story.
