Thylacine

Thylacine arrives on March 6, 2027 at La Sirène in La Rochelle with a live set shaped by the road. From sessions composed on the Trans-Siberian to the Faroe Islands and across the Andes, William Rezé creates an electronic music born of travel and the sounds gathered along the way. For Roads Vol. 3, he left the routines of his Paris studio and spent three months crossing new territory, still aboard his 1972 Airstream converted into a mobile studio, in order to let time and intuition steer the writing.

Trained on the saxophone, he blends melodic techno, ambient and downtempo rhythms, with a sense of harmony drawn from jazz and classical music. The tracks unfold through loops and slow progressions, nourished by atmospheres recorded on site and echoes of traditional instruments, such as the baglama he discovered in Turkey. On stage, his performances take the form of an immersive travelogue, where textures, rhythms and footage shot during the journey interact. In La Rochelle, Thylacine continues this nomadic trajectory with new pieces from Roads Vol. 3, conceived for the stage and crafted to convey movement.
