Sniper, a founding group of French rap, was formed in 1997 in the Val-d’Oise around Aketo, Tunisiano, Blacko and DJ Boudj. With Du rire aux larmes, Gravé dans la roche and Trait pour trait, the group established a writing style that blends lived experience, commitment and a strong sense of storytelling. Aketo and Tunisiano now return to the stage in a tighter formation—Sniper as a duo—to put voice and lyrics back at the center. On 18 March 2027 at L’Autre Canal in Nancy, they run through their classics, string together the tracks that made an impact and unveil new material. Complementary flows, an intact social perspective and sharp rhymes: the set draws on the group’s DNA, without the tensions of the past, with a more focused and mature energy. A return to their roots that reaffirms their voice in socially conscious rap, between shared memory and new pages to write.
