Info
On October 8, 2026, at Islington Assembly Hall in London, Mansur Brown brings his genre-blurring instrumental world to the stage. The Brixton guitarist, producer and multi-instrumentalist has been shaping a sound since the mid-2010s that slips between contemporary jazz, fusion, abstract hip-hop and soft electronic shading, without getting locked into any one scene.
Expect supple guitar lines that feel both precise and free, rhythms that break and re-form like beat music, and a sense of space that can turn meditative fast. Drawing on the language introduced on Shiroi and developed through Heiwa and the NAQI EP, his live set plays with the tension between improvisation and tight, song-sized ideas. Whether he’s building layers or leaving things deliberately open, the focus stays on texture, momentum and that London-style cross-pollination where jazz and electronics speak the same dialect.
