Anthony Kavanagh

Anthony Kavanagh returns with a new show at the Splendid in Lille on November 28, 2026. A Québécois comedian at ease in both stand-up and improv, he draws on everyday life to craft precise scenes and candid confessions. He examines the passage of time, the paradoxes of the modern world, our relationships and, ultimately, what all of that reveals about us.

On stage, Kavanagh moves from personal anecdote to a punchline in an instant, plays with silences, reacts to the audience and lets improvisation open up unexpected paths. His sense of rhythm, shifts in tone and love of music fuel a fluid show conceived as an open workshop where ideas are sharpened through contact with the audience. Between clear observations and flowing energy, he sketches a portrait of the times without grand gestures, with the simple pleasure of making people laugh and of sharing. A direct encounter with a performer who enjoys testing, refining and surprising, up close to those who listen to him.
