Katinka Bjerregaard performs under the name Katinka, the Copenhagen-based singer and songwriter who links indie pop to Danish-language storytelling. Emerging in the mid-2010s, she formed Katinka Band with musicians from the city’s alternative scene and built songs where melody and narrative move together. Her writing stays direct and clear, with the voice and the lyrics up front, whether the frame is a bare guitar pattern or a denser pop texture.
On 5 March 2027 at TRAIN in Aarhus, Katinka brings this approach to the stage. The set reflects years in small Copenhagen clubs before wider Danish tours, a route that has sharpened her focus on words, rhythm and detail. Alongside her work with the band, one-off collaborations with fellow Danish artists have broadened the palette; arrangements can tilt toward experimental pop or lean on more classic songwriter forms, always keeping the story as the center of gravity.
