Info
On August 22, 2026, Charles Wesley Godwin brings The Christian Name Tour to History in Toronto. Raised in Morgantown, West Virginia, he writes from an Appalachian perspective where country and folk meet plainspoken storytelling. On stage, his songs center on places, family lines and the everyday people who move through them, carried by acoustic guitars, unvarnished melodies and lyrics that keep the focus on the story.
Since Seneca (2019), Godwin has shaped a catalog that moves from autobiographical sketches to character-driven narratives, expanded on How the Mighty Fall (2021) and refined on Family Ties (2023), his first release with Big Loud. His presence has grown across the independent country scene, including a run with Zach Bryan and a feature on the track Jamie in 2022, as well as a contribution to The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes with Winter’s Come and Gone. This tour gathers those chapters into a live set drawn from across his albums, with arrangements that stay close to the grain of the songs and a voice that carries them without ornament.
