Look Mum No Computer

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER brings his DIY electronic playground to Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds on 22 November 2026. Under this alter ego, UK musician and instrument builder Sam Battle stitches indie instincts to modular crunch, pop songwriting to hacked circuitry. On stage he leans on custom machines and reanimated tech: choirs of Furbies turned into an organ, banks of Game Boys, a synthesizer bicycle, even a flame-throwing keyboard. Melodic hooks ride raw, handmade textures, with plenty of live patching and the quirks of DIY electronics.

Since 2016, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has grown from a workshop project into a touring act across the UK and Europe, while his videos have rallied a community around the craft of making sound with whatever’s at hand. Releases map the path: the Human Procrastination EP (2019), the album These Songs Are Obsolete (2020), Kosmo Comes for Christmas (2023) and Double Barrelled Decadence (2024). Before LMNC, Battle fronted ZIBRA and cut his teeth on festival stages; he now balances studio work for others with an ever-evolving collection of resurrected machines that fuel his shows.
