Green Lung head to SWG3 Glasgow on December 20, 2026 with their foggy heavy rock, perched at the crossroads of doom metal, stoner and English-style hard rock. Formed in London in 2017 around vocalist Tom Templar, the band quickly drew attention with catchy songwriting, thick riffs and, above all, prominently featured keyboards that lend a distinctive depth to their tracks. Their universe draws on rural folklore, occultism, paganism and a whole array of folk-horror imagery typically British, without slipping into gratuitous decor: it serves taut songs, often tailored for the chorus. After the Green Man Rising demo and the EP Free the Witch, Green Lung solidified their formula on Woodland Rites (2019), then followed with Black Harvest (2021) before signing with Nuclear Blast for This Heathen Land (2023). On stage, they move naturally between metal circuits and heavy psych, with that sense of atmosphere that turns their tracks into real nocturnal pieces.
