Info
The Long Ryders, associated with the alt-country movement, return to the stage. Fusing punk energy with country-rock harmonies, the band connects influences from Gram Parsons to today’s Americana and has influenced acts such as Wilco, The Jayhawks, and Uncle Tupelo.
Rising from the Los Angeles scene, The Long Ryders released albums including Native Sons and State of Our Union, which features the single “Looking for Lewis & Clark.” Their sound blends 12-string guitars, vocal harmonies, and a roots-driven approach.
Following their 2019 release Psychedelic Country Soul, the band returned to the studio for September November, their first album since the passing of bassist Tom Stevens. The Long Ryders perform at The Piper on 16 October 2026 at 7:00 pm.
