Carrying forward a family musical legacy while carving out a sound of his own, Mádé Kuti & The Movement bring their live show to Jazz Cafe on 25 July 2026 at 5:30 pm.
The son of Femi Kuti and grandson of Fela Kuti, he was raised in the New Afrika Shrine and began performing from a young age as part of Positive Force. Now a multi-instrumentalist and bandleader, he blends Afrobeat with jazz and alternative influences.
Following releases like 'Stand Tall' and 'No More Wars', Mádé returns with new music, including 'I Won’t Run Away', the first glimpse of his upcoming album Chapter 1: Where Does Happiness Come From?
His live show centers on modern Afrobeat, musicianship and social themes.
