Islandman is a borderless sonic collective reimagining the deep expressive forms of Anatolian music and letting them breathe in the present. They call it Neo-Turkish Psychedelia: not a reinvention, but a living thread where folk modes and ritual rhythms meet contemporary textures.

Born from the imagination of producer Tolga Böyük and completed by Erdem Başer on psychedelic guitar and Eralp Güven on meditative percussion, the trio craft a live set that moves between acoustic and electronic. Warm synths, cyclical grooves and finely drawn guitar lines build with patience, inviting motion while keeping a focused, ceremonial feel. The result is music that carries memory forward without freezing it in place.

Islandman bring this evolving journey to Bristol at Strange Brew on 30 May 2026, with a fluid, immersive format where layered percussion, nimble guitar figures and analog pulses speak to each other, turning the dancefloor into a space that’s part ceremony, part club.
