Robben Ford

Robben Ford brings his blend of blues, rock, jazz and fusion to Epic Studios in Norwich on 4 February 2027. Fresh from his album Two Shades Of Blue, the five-time Grammy nominee returns with a set shaped by interplay and improvisation, moving from groove-led blues to wide-open instrumentals that draw on both the new record and a catalogue built over five decades.

A Californian who came up with the Charles Ford Blues Band and later worked alongside Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis, George Harrison, Bonnie Raitt and Bob Dylan, Ford has long navigated between club stages, jazz circuits and major tours. On stage he favours a clear tone, elastic phrasing and room to stretch.

Expect a live show anchored by a tight rhythm section, melodic lines that leave space to breathe, harmonies borrowed from jazz and the bite of electric blues. Two Shades Of Blue sets the compass; the concert explores its angles, revisiting key moments from across his career with the spontaneity that keeps his music moving.
