The Reytons

On 17 October 2026, The Reytons bring their no-frills indie rock to Edinburgh Corn Exchange. Formed in Rotherham in 2017, the quartet — Jonny Yerrell (vocals), Joe O’Brien (guitar), Lee Holland (bass) and Jamie Todd (drums) — carve out a guitar-led sound with tight rhythms and lyrics rooted in day-to-day British life. After a string of DIY releases — It Was All So Monotonous and K.O.T.E. in 2017, then Alcopops & Charity Shops in 2018 — they stepped up with their debut album Kids Off the Estate in 2021. They continued at pace with self-released follow-ups What’s Rock and Roll? (2023) and Ballad of a Bystander (2024), keeping songs concise and straight to the point.

On stage, The Reytons keep it lean and direct, stitching together tracks from across their catalogue: the grit of Kids Off the Estate, the bite of What’s Rock and Roll? and newer cuts from Ballad of a Bystander, alongside early EP favourites. Their Clifton Park live chapter in 2024 underlined the band’s local ties; in Edinburgh, the focus stays on sharp riffs, close-knit rhythms and stories told without varnish.
