On 4 December 2026 at Jazz Cafe in London, Bristol duo The Allergies – DJ Moneyshot and Rackabeat – roll out a live show shaped by crate-digging instincts and sharp turntable craft. Built on samples, brass stabs and boom bap bounce, their sound folds funk, soul and hip-hop into tight, dancefloor-minded cuts. Since dropping As We Do Our Thing in 2016 and pushing through albums like Steal The Show, Say The Word and Promised Land, they’ve honed a direct, groove-led approach that links classic breakbeat energy with clean, modern production.

On stage, the pair stretch their DJ foundation into a fuller band feel. Expect quick-fire blends, scratch routines and chunky drums locked to live hooks, with LA rapper Andy Cooper bringing agile bars, powerhouse vocalist Marietta Smith lifting the choruses, and sax player James Morton adding gritty melodies. A rotating crew of guest MCs often jumps in, keeping the flow moving and the arrangements lively. The set swings from retooled vintage breaks to their own crowd-ready singles, all stitched together with a DJ culture mindset that keeps momentum front and center.
