Vulfpeck

Vulfpeck brings its lean, groove-first funk to Vicar Street in Dublin on July 6, 2026. Formed in 2011 in Ann Arbor by Jack Stratton, Theo Katzman, Joe Dart and Woody Goss, the band began as a playful nod to German studio crews of the 60s and grew into a tight collective with a DIY backbone. Early sessions and four EPs laid the groundwork before a steady run of releases traced their evolution: Thrill of the Arts (2015), The Beautiful Game (2016), Mr Finish Line (2017) and Hill Climber (2018). In 2019 they documented a headline night at Madison Square Garden, a snapshot of a group built as much for the stage as for the studio.

After a short pause, Vulfpeck returned with Schvitz (2022) and Clarity of Cal (2025), reaffirming a method based on economy, pulse and interplay. Independent to the core, they rotate collaborators in the studio and on tour while keeping a collective approach that stays consistent from record to record. Live, they move from stripped-down pocket to buoyant hooks, with bass, keys, guitar and drums trading roles and occasional guests stepping in. A clear, unfussy setup, sharp dynamics and a focus on groove drive a show that highlights the band’s long-running chemistry.
