Devin Townsend

On 23 September 2026 at Le Silo (Marseille), Devin Townsend appears solo with the Metamorphosis tour. A multi-instrumentalist and producer known for Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend Project, Casualties of Cool and Punky Brüster, he reopens his repertoire here unfiltered, drawing from 31 albums and as many sonic phases — from industrial metal to ambient soundscapes, from progressive passages to more stripped-down songs. After announcing a break in 2025, he completed The Moth, a large-scale studio project released in late May 2026, and returns to the stage to reframe his various aliases and the narrative thread that connects them.

Alone on stage, Townsend alternates guitars, electronic textures and a chameleon voice, with a fluid setlist that changes from night to night. The idea is to revisit key tracks, unearth rarities, link the projects together and share the stories that accompany them. Expect to hear Strapping Young Lad songs, standout pieces from the Devin Townsend Project, more atmospheric passages from Casualties of Cool, as well as recent material related to The Moth. It’s an opportunity to encounter a creator in transition, up close with his songs.
