Info
anees folds pop, R&B and hip‑hop into a smooth, melodic style that grew out of freestyle writing and early posts shared online. Born in Washington, D.C., raised in Northern Virginia, and of Palestinian and Lebanese heritage, he began releasing tracks at the end of the 2010s before stepping out in 2020 with singles like Neverland Fly, Brown Kid and Maybe. In 2021 he pivoted toward a more sung approach with Slip, followed by Love Is Crazy, Drunk on Myself and What Lovers Do. Sun and Moon took his sound beyond borders in 2022 and set the path to Summer Camp, his debut album released in 2024.
On September 15, 2026 at The Opera House in Toronto, anees brings that evolution to the stage. Expect a set built on candid lyrics, rap‑to‑melody shifts and pop‑R&B textures that land with ease in a live room. He draws from Summer Camp and the singles that marked his transition, moving between nimble wordplay and tuneful hooks without breaking the flow. It’s the intimate, conversational songwriting he honed online, carried by a voice that slips from confessional verses to bright choruses in one motion.
