Kevin Morby brings his album-first songwriting to London on 8 July 2026 at Troxy. With Field Guide for the Butterflies, he moves in album-sized steps, letting one idea ripple track to track until it lands. The record traces back to a solitary drive through Arkansas, where butterflies kept crossing the highway. That image became a compass for the songs: the odd collisions of life on tour, the memory of those lost on the way to shows, and the love that emerged as he and Katie met on the road. It’s music about moving forward while noticing how easily things break, how we float above the asphalt yet stay human and fragile.

On stage, Morby threads these themes through the folk-rock pulse and plainspoken storytelling that have run from Harlem River to This Is a Photograph. The set plays like a field guide of its own — road songs, hushed confessions, clear melodies — arranged so the meaning gathers as the night goes on, song by song, to the end.
