Electric Six

Electric Six bring their Detroit-bred blend of garage rock, disco, punk and new wave to The Live Rooms, Chester on 25 June 2026. Fronted by Dick Valentine since their early days, the band channels sharp riffs and synth-streaked grooves into punchy songs with a deadpan taste for the absurd. Known worldwide for Gay Bar, Dance Commander and Danger! High Voltage, they’ve kept the momentum through a steady run of albums, most recently Turquoise, and years of road-testing. On stage, guitars snap, basslines strut and choruses hit hard, with a mix of swagger and sly humor. It’s a chance to catch the staples alongside newer cuts, shaped into a set built for movement and cathartic sing-alongs.

Support comes from Enjoyable Listens, a crooner-meets-synth project with a theatrical streak, once described as “a bloodstained fur coat, floating on the undulating beat of street talk.” Expect baritone vocals, sardonic storytelling and bittersweet pop shadows to set the room before Electric Six plug in.
