The Sadies + Terra Lightfoot

The Canadians, The Sadies, are “one (band) for the road,” paraphrasing the title of that live album The Kinks released in 1980. Or that other one — this time a studio album — that Willie Nelson and Leon Russell released in 1979. They perform on 5 December 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Sala Upload.

The Sadies haven’t visited the peninsula since 2023, when they also completed another extensive tour, in that case of ten concerts, during which they presented their hybrid of garage, psychedelia, rockabilly, surf and bluegrass. A cocktail that over the years (they were founded in 1994) has served to place them among followers of rock in Cuban-heeled boots and skinny ties, and to make them a regular backing band for alternative country and its environs.

Despite the unexpected death of one of their members, Dallas Good, in February 2022, they have decided to carry on, reconfigured as a trio (with the other three founders, Travis Good, Sean Dean and Mike Belitsky), defending both their legacy and their present.
