Info
Bad Manners bring their 50th Anniversary Tour to Music Hall, 15 Ward Road, Lower DD1 1ND, United Kingdom, on 31 December 2026. Formed in north London in 1976 around longtime frontman Buster Bloodvessel, the band helped drive the British ska revival with a brass-led sound that blends Jamaican ska, 2 Tone edge, light reggae touches and punchy pop hooks. Early singles and TV appearances made their mark, alongside a spot in the 1981 concert film Dance Craze, with songs such as Lip Up Fatty and Special Brew still core to their set.
On stage, Bad Manners line up a flexible horn section, keys and a tight rhythm team, pushing brisk offbeat grooves, call-and-response refrains and a cheeky sense of theatre. The lineup has shifted over the decades, but Bloodvessel stays at the helm, steering a show that dips into the rush of the first albums and folds in later material shaped by years of touring. Fifty years on, the offbeat remains front and centre, delivered with the direct, high-tempo snap that defines their sound.
