On 6 June 2026, Roo Panes plays London at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Dorset-born singer-songwriter Andrew “Roo” Panes has shaped a distinct English folk sound built on the resonance of a 12-string guitar, understated vocals and discreet string arrangements. From early EPs Once and Weight of Your World to Land of the Living, he has developed songs that take their time, close to contemporary folk with a restrained, chamber-pop tint. He first reached a wider audience via Burberry Acoustic and a BBC Radio 2 session, then kept a steady rhythm of releases and touring.

His debut album Little Giant (2014) set the course, followed by Paperweights (2016) and Quiet Man (2018). The EPs Pacific (2020) and Nightjar and the Nightingale (2022) refined an intimate writing style, before The Summer Isles (2023) gathered those threads into warm acoustic textures. On stage, the emphasis sits on melody and detail: guitar arpeggios up front, strings used for colour, lyrics that look inward without fuss. A night centered on craft, where the dynamics stay measured and the songs do the talking.
