Liam Bailey brings his raw soul to Exchange, Bristol on 22 September 2026. Raised on soul, reggae, blues and stripped-back rock, the Nottingham singer and songwriter writes in clean lines, with a gravelled voice that sits over sparse arrangements or firmer rhythms. Early 2010s EPs on Amy Winehouse’s Lioness Records set the tone before he moved between acoustic sketches, contemporary soul production and the UK bass orbit, crossing paths with Chase & Status (Blind Faith, Big Man), Shy FX (Soon Come), Delilah and DJ Fresh. His albums map the route: Definitely Now (2014), Ekundayo (2020) recorded with Leon Michels, Enfant Terrible (2023) with St Francis Hotel, then Zero Grace (2024) alongside Leon Michels and the El Michels Affair. On stage, Bailey keeps it direct and organic, blending lo-fi soul colours, Jamaican inflections, folk-rock shades and melancholic melodies, with songs carried by voice, guitar and unfussy grooves.
