Info
Squeeze bring their finely crafted pop writing to Swansea on 30 November 2026 at Swansea Arena. Led by the long-running partnership of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, the band blends crisp melodies with everyday storytelling. The set leans into their new wave roots while keeping things light on its feet, moving from early singles like Take Me I’m Yours, Cool for Cats and Up the Junction to later material from Cradle to the Grave and The Knowledge. Hooks, tight rhythms and wry snapshots of British life: the songs land where clarity and economy do the work.
Very special guest Billy Bragg opens with his lean guitar-and-voice setup. Since Life’s a Riot with Spy vs Spy and Talking with the Taxman about Poetry, he’s balanced social detail and sentiment with a direct delivery that keeps the words out front. Over time he’s widened the frame, from the electric folk charge of his early days to the Mermaid Avenue sessions with Wilco, setting Woody Guthrie’s lyrics to music, and recent work like The Million Things That Never Happened. A stripped-back set that draws a clear line between punk energy and folk narrative before Squeeze take the stage.
