Skye Newman

Skye Newman brings her London-rooted blend of rap, soul and pop to O2 Victoria Warehouse on 6 November 2026. Raised between moves and modest households in the south-east of the city, she writes from lived experience: everyday pressures, working-class trajectories, and that edge of social precarity that shapes how people love, hustle and grow. A jazz- and blues-singing aunt opened the studio door early on; later, touchstones like Amy Winehouse, Adele, Bob Marley and Eminem fed the palette without boxing it in.

On stage, Newman keeps the focus on words and feeling. Melodic soul lines slide into rap-leaning phrasing, choruses land simply, and the production avoids showboating so the stories breathe. Her songs move between self-reflection and portraits of those around her, bringing rarely heard voices into relief with a direct, conversational tone. Built over time with a tight creative circle and a steady DIY mindset, the project presents an author-performer who treats each track like a vignette of London life — intimate, detailed and clear-eyed.
