Pete Tong presents « Ibiza Classics »

On 14 June 2026 at Guildhall Square in Southampton, Pete Tong brings Ibiza Classics, his project in which the anthems of dance and house are given new scale through a live ensemble. A central figure of the British electronic scene, he has shaped generations of listeners across clubs and radio — from the Essential Selection and the Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 to his Ibiza nights with Pure Pacha and Wonderland. In recent years he has pursued an orchestral direction initiated with conductor Jules Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra, which produced the albums Classic House, Ibiza Classics, Chilled Classics and Pete Tong & Friends – Ibiza Classics.

On stage, Ibiza Classics combines beats, synths and a rhythm section with strings and brass to revisit club standards, from Chicago house to Balearic sounds. The set unfolds like a journey through club culture, crafted to blend the energy of the dancefloor with the structure of a concert, featuring tension-building climaxes, guest vocalists and reinterpretations that remain true to the spirit of the originals. It’s an opportunity to hear, outdoors at Guildhall Square, Pete Tong’s curatorial touch applied to a live format that foregrounds the history and melodies of these Ibiza classics without losing the basslines and drops that made them indispensable.
