Chasing Abbey

Chasing Abbey bring their hybrid of hip-hop, pop and club-minded electronics to O2 Academy Oxford on 13 November 2026. Born in Tullamore, the trio of childhood friends built their name on self-released tracks and steady Irish radio play, with That Good Thing in 2017 setting the tone for what followed. On stage, melodic vocals and rap flows trade places over tight, percussive production, built around direct rhythms and choruses that hit quickly.

The Odyssey Project EP (2018) laid down an early blueprint; since then, the group have folded in touches of Irish traditional melody — hear Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses) — while keeping a contemporary, club-leaning punch. Their writing sticks close to everyday life, relationships and the social scenes around them, giving the songs a plain-spoken edge that works live.

Expect a set that moves between sleek pop hooks, rhythmic rap cadences and dance tempos, with new material sitting alongside fan favourites. Chasing Abbey stand at the crossroads of urban pop and melodic rap, with a subtle nod to folk roots that gives their sound a distinct twist.
