Johnny Drille brings his blend of folk, soul and alternative pop to Glasgow on 22 May 2026 at SWG3 Glasgow. Raised in Edo State, Nigeria, and first noticed on Project Fame West Africa in 2013, he built a following with intimate songwriting and arrangements that keep the voice and melody up front. Acoustic textures, subtle afropop touches and a calm sense of groove shape songs that travel easily from living-room warmth to a full room.

Signed to Mavin Records since 2017, Johnny Drille has written tracks that many discovered through word of mouth: Wait for Me, the tender Romeo & Juliet, and Halleluya with Simi. He’s also worked with Niniola, Ladipoe and Don Jazzy, widening his palette without losing that stripped-back core. His album Before We Fall Asleep (2021) and the EP Home (2022) deepened the storytelling, followed in 2024 by Hard Guy Confessions with Don Jazzy, where soul, funk and contemporary pop color more candid love songs.

On stage, expect a set that moves from early favorites to newer material, with careful harmonies, clean guitar work and songs built to be sung back.
