Eagles of Death Metal

Eagles of Death Metal play Limelight, Belfast on 26 November 2026. Born in the late 90s in Palm Desert, the project brings together singer-guitarist Jesse Hughes and multi-instrumentalist Josh Homme, rooted in the desert rock scene that swirls around Queens of the Stone Age and the Desert Sessions. The idea: keep it direct and unpretentious, with short, fuzzy riffs, brisk tempos and choruses built to be shouted back. Their opening run set the blueprint with Peace, Love, Death Metal (2004), followed by Death by Sexy (2006) and Heart On (2008). After breaks linked to parallel projects, they returned with Zipper Down in 2015 and a covers record in 2019.

On stage, Eagles of Death Metal is a rotating unit centered on Jesse Hughes, who surrounds himself with different players from tour to tour without losing the pulse. The live set leans on tight grooves, twang and boogie undercurrents, and hooks that lock in fast. In Belfast, the band stays true to its straight-ahead rock’n’roll DNA: efficient songs, rough-edged energy and a communal feel that works best up close.
