Info

Ocean Colour Scene return to Belfast with a set that maps their path from early baggy‑indie roots to a lean, melodic rock language fed by britpop, blues rock and a distinctly mod streak. On 14 November 2026 at Ulster Hall, Simon Fowler, Steve Cradock and Oscar Harrison, the core of the Birmingham band formed in 1989, revisit the songs that defined them and the deeper cuts that kept the group moving.

Their rise in the mid-90s ran alongside close ties with Paul Weller and a 1995 tour with Oasis, a shift that led to the run of albums Moseley Shoals (1996), Marchin’ Already (1997) and One from the Modern (1999). Since then, records like Mechanical Wonder, North Atlantic Drift, A Hyperactive Workout for the Flying Squad, On the Leyline, Saturday and Painting have extended a catalogue where clean guitars, supple rhythms and chorus-driven writing set the tone.

On stage, Ocean Colour Scene balance sharp, sixties-tinged songwriting with discreet psychedelic colours and a grounded pub-rock energy. The set moves between driving numbers and slower echoes, played with the economy of a band that has toured the UK steadily for decades.
