Info
Ray LaMontagne brings the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour to Sheffield City Hall in Sheffield on 24 May 2026. Two decades after his debut made its mark, he takes the stage to play Trouble in full, then wander through a catalog that now spans nine albums. The set revisits the grain of that first record—acoustic guitars, a weathered voice, slow-burning melodies—before opening onto the different shades he’s explored since: the hushed orchestral sweep of Till the Sun Turns Black and Gossip in the Grain, the rootsier pulse of God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise, the retro hue of Supernova, the immersive drift of Ouroboros, and the stripped-back focus of Part of the Light and Monovision.
On tour, LaMontagne moves between intimate stillness and fuller dynamics, solo moments and band interplay, letting the songs set the pace. This anniversary show offers a front-to-back reading of Trouble, followed by a set that connects the throughline in his writing—folk, Americana, and a hint of soul that ties past and present together.
