Jack White

Jack White plays Eventim Apollo, London, on 26 August 2026. Raised in Detroit as John Anthony Gillis, he first made his mark with The White Stripes, a duo whose stripped-down collision of garage rock and blues put the riff and the voice at the centre. After that chapter, he widened the field with The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and a solo run launched by Blunderbuss (2012), followed by Lazaretto (2014), Boarding House Reach (2018), Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive (both 2022), and No Name (2024). Based in Nashville, he also founded Third Man Records, a space for recordings and experiments.

On stage he keeps the frame tight and the sound rough-edged: short forms, abrasive guitars, and a swing rooted in American blues. Sets tend to roam across his whole catalogue, from White Stripes songs to the punch of The Raconteurs, the darker tones of The Dead Weather and the folk, country and soul shades of his solo work. Arrangements often shift in real time, with quick moves between electrified stomp and hushed, grainy ballads, carried by a band that works in tension and release.
