Chasing Abbey

Chasing Abbey land at O2 Academy Liverpool on 17 November 2026. Born in Tullamore, the trio of childhood friends shape a straight-ahead blend of hip-hop, pop and club electronics. They first surfaced in the mid-2010s with self-produced tracks and steady Irish radio play, breaking through with That Good Thing in 2017 before firming up their identity on the EP The Odyssey Project in 2018. Since then, they’ve pushed a melodic rap approach that pairs sung hooks with tight, percussive beats and choruses built for the crowd, while keeping the writing grounded in day-to-day stories, friendships and relationships.

In the 2020s, Chasing Abbey began threading in fragments of Irish traditional melody, most clearly on Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses), folding those lines into contemporary, club-leaning production. Live, that mix comes through in layered vocals, punchy drops and clean, dance-oriented arrangements that leave space for rap flows and harmonies to trade places. A concise, focused set built on rhythm, melody and a distinctly Irish twist.
