Heaven 17 return to Scotland on 2 July 2026 at The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. Led by Martyn Ware’s electronic architecture with Glenn Gregory’s baritone up front, the band helped shape early-80s synth-pop by folding new wave pulse, funk-leaning basslines and pop melody into crisp, programmed grooves. On stage, Ware and Gregory revisit a catalogue that still resonates: the pointed We Don’t Need This Fascist Groove Thang, the cool glide of Let Me Go, and the chorus that made Temptation a fixture.
The set draws on Penthouse and Pavement and The Luxury Gap alongside later material, keeping the focus on songs built for synths and strong hooks. Gregory carries the melodies while Ware steers the textures and sequenced backbone. It’s a show that looks forward as it looks back, built on tracks that have travelled from early MTV to today’s playlists, performed by the duo who wrote them.
