Teddy Swims

Info

Teddy Swims brings his blend of soul, R&B and pop to Scarborough Open Air Theatre on 22 July 2026. Raised outside Atlanta, the singer-songwriter (born Jaten Dimsdale) first caught ears in 2019 with a run of covers stretching from classic soul to contemporary pop and country, before carving his own lane with a warm, melismatic voice and direct, confessional writing. His early EPs Unlearning (2021), Tough Love (2022) and Sleep Is Exhausting (2022) mapped out themes of vulnerability, relationships and personal rebuilds. The debut album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) followed in 2023, moving between piano-led ballads and pop-rock edges, carried by the single Lose Control.

On stage, Swims leans into a full-band setup that keeps his voice front and center, sliding between slow-burn ballads and groove-led tracks with gospel colors and touches of rock and country. Sets often weave a few fan-favorite covers with newer material, inviting call-and-response and easy back-and-forth with the crowd. An open-air date in Scarborough to hear the American singer’s evolving songbook in a setting built for big voices and candid songs.
