Ed O’Brien goes solo in London for a show at the Barbican Centre on October 16, 2026. A guitarist for Radiohead, he has carved out a distinct space with a playing style built on textures, swathes and counterpoints, closer to coloration than to demonstrative soloing, and a regular presence in the backing vocals. This way of inhabiting the songs threads through the band’s early years, from Pablo Honey to OK Computer, as well as the more electronic and experimental turns of Kid A and Amnesiac. In recent years, O’Brien has also been pursuing his own path. Following collaborations such as the 7 Worlds Collide collective, he launched his personal repertoire with Earth, released in 2020 under the name EOB, nourished by his stay in Brazil and a pop openness to rhythms and psychedelic moods. In 2026, he returns with a newly announced chapter, Blue Morpho, this time signed under his own name: an opportunity to discover him in a more direct format, centered on his songs and his atmospheric work.
