Chasing Abbey

Chasing Abbey lands at The Deaf Institute in Manchester on 10 November 2026. The trio from Tullamore builds a tight blend of hip‑hop, pop and club‑minded electronics, where melodic hooks rub shoulders with rap flows. Breaking out in Ireland with the self‑produced single That Good Thing in 2017, they honed a way of writing that sticks close to everyday life, friendships and the rhythms of young adulthood, carried by punchy beats and choruses made to be picked up by a crowd.

With The Odyssey Project EP in 2018, the group set a first marker before a run of singles that pushed their palette wider. More recently, they’ve woven strains of Irish traditional melody into contemporary production, as on Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses), folding that lineage into bass and drums without nostalgia. On stage, the three voices trade lines and harmonies, shifting between confessional pop, chant‑ready rap and dance energy. The set maps their path from early cuts to newer tracks that tilt folk memory toward the club, keeping the focus on direct songwriting and impact.
