Jaguar Sun brings its indie pop to The Glad Cafe in Glasgow on 4 September 2026. The project of Hamilton, Ontario singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Chris Minielly moves between dream pop, jangle pop and soft rock. Songs are built on clean guitars, discreet keyboards and supple rhythms, carried by a hushed voice and a melodic sense that favors concise forms. First shaped alone in the studio, Jaguar Sun later grew into a live band, giving the material more space while keeping an intimate core.
Across a steady run of singles, EPs and albums, including Boss Forever in 2020, Minielly has expanded the palette without losing the bedroom-pop clarity of the writing. Gentle hooks, airy textures and straightforward, sentimental lyrics anchor the set, with arrangements that lean on detail rather than volume. On stage, that balance comes through in an unforced flow, where layers of guitar and synths frame concise, melodic lines.
